About Us

Once upon a time in New York City, James Marshall had a life that looked pretty perfect from the outside. You know the drill; big city, big dreams, big life, everything neatly in place. But the truth? It felt like wearing someone else’s shoes; gonna cause damage over the long haul. Like a lot of folks, he was coloring inside the lines, not making waves, fitting in with society and generally trying not to rock the boat… because he was supposed to enjoy this lifestyle.

Then came a little art project: nine dots on a canvas. Naturally, James lined them up all neat and tidy…because heaven forbid a dot steps out of line, right? But then it hit him: that perfect little grid was a mirror of how he was living; careful, predictable, and a little afraid to color outside the lines.

So he did the unthinkable. He let one dot wander off. Out of alignment, out of order, and proudly doing its own thing. That one rebellious little dot was the lightbulb moment.

From that tiny act of rebellion, The Rebel Dot was born. One cheeky piece of art turned into a whole philosophy: a solo show in NYC, collectors from the Hamptons to California, and eventually a homecoming to the UK. Fast forward, and now his art has been under the hammer at Christie’s and hung in galleries in London, too.

But hey, The Rebel Dot isn’t just about fancy art. I mean, whose going to make a living out of selling dots? ;)

It’s about thumbing your nose at the idea that you have to fit in. It’s about wearing something that actually means something. Rejecting fast fashion, cookie-cutter trends, and disposable identities and doing it all with a wink. Our clothes are made to order, sustainably and ethically made.

There’s something quietly powerful about deciding to follow your own path. It’s not always comfortable, and it’s definitely not always easy. But forging your own path is a hell of a lot better than walking down somewhere else’s.

So wear the dot. Have a laugh. And remember: the most rebellious act of all is to Be a Rebel. Be Yourself.
